A tough issue for congregations to address is the loss of young adult families with children. This often happens when numerical decline is the long-term trend. The average age of members is older than in earlier decades. Concern about the long-term viability of congregations arise.

This is primarily a congregational sustainability issue and not a kingdom growth issue. It is not about God’s empowering vision for your congregation. It is about your congregation surviving and serving with vitality and vibrancy.
